WEAVINGS OF KABIR • CARD 11

Divine Timing

The Verse

धीरे धीरे रे मना, धीरे सब कुछ होय।

Dheere dheere re manā, dheere sab kuchh hoye.

“Slowly, slowly, oh mind, everything happens in its own time. The gardener may water a hundred pots, but fruit comes only in its season.”

The Unspun Thread • The Context

Kabir often used the natural world around him to explain spiritual laws. He would watch gardeners frantically watering their fruit trees, pouring hundreds of pots of water over the soil in a desperate bid to force the trees to grow faster. Kabir laughed at this human impatience. He noted that no matter how much extra water you pour, the tree will only bear fruit when its natural season arrives. He sang this to soothe the restless anxiety of seekers who want instant enlightenment or immediate results.

The Knot • The Mind’s Trap

The modern ego is addicted to speed, optimization, and instant gratification. This card exposes the trap of forcing outcomes. When we panic because a project, a relationship, or our own emotional healing isn’t progressing fast enough, we create unnecessary friction. The mind convinces you that if you just push harder, stress more, or force the door open, you can bypass the natural law of growth.

Weaving It Into Life • The Suggestion

Identify one area of your life where you feel a tight sense of urgency or frustration regarding time. Consciously take your hands off the steering wheel today. Exhale, repeat Kabir’s phrase (dheere dheere) like a mantra, and grant yourself permission to let this situation unfold in its own perfect, natural season.
