Arriving at the highest peak of his realization, Kabir found himself completely tongue-tied. He wanted to run into the village square and tell everyone about the absolute peace, the ocean of light, and the unexplainable joy he had found inside his own chest. But he realized that human language was far too small, clunky, and rigid to ever hold the vastness of the truth. If he spoke, it would sound like madness to the clever mind; yet if he hoarded the beauty inside, his chest felt like it would burst from the pure pressure of love. The ego is profoundly addicted to talking, analyzing, and explaining everything. We think that if we can’t label an experience, summarize it in a sentence, or explain it logically to someone else, it isn’t real or valid.
